Vision is a synthezoid, an artifical lifeform created by a human in the 1960's, and possessing intelligence, sentience, and free will. He became a hero and a member of the Avengers, before he was killed by his insane wife, the superhero known as Scarlet Witch.

Vision comes in from his death, reincorporated by the powers that be as he was before death, from a possibility where he did not die, with the mind of the one who did.
